Courtney Brittain hails from Prosper Texas, where she began her ballet training at the age of six under Ryan Schrick. Eventually, Brittain settled into Hathaway Academy of Ballet under Kirt and Linda Hathaway. During her eight years with the Hathaways, Brittain was part of the student company, Collin County Ballet Theatre. This gave her the opportunity to participate and perform at Regional Dance America. Brittain was also chosen to represent Hathaway Academy of Ballet at the International Ballet Competition in 2014. Brittain subsequently attended Friends University where she received her BFA in Ballet under Stan and Sharon Rogers, graduating Cum Laude. While at Friends, Brittain was featured in pieces by James Wallace, Dominic Walsh, Francisco Martinez, Melonie Buchanan Murray and Felice Lesser. In addition, Brittain has choreographed several dances of her own including two neo-classical pieces, a contemporary solo, and a classical solo. Brittin now teaches at Hathaway Academy of Ballet Miller is excited to continue in her second year Ballet North Texas.
