Jaclyn Brewer-Poole

Born and raised in the Dallas area, Jaclyn dedicated her focus to dance at age 12, training under Lisa Owen and world-renowned programs including Springboard Danse in Montreal, José Limón Dance in New York City, Dance International in Spain, American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, KaatsbaanExtreme Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ballet.

Jaclyn was thrilled to attend and graduate from the Juilliard School with her BFA in 2008.  Some highlights include performing at City Center in New York City, working with choreographers such as Robert Battle, Ohad Naharin, Doug Varone, Jessica Lang, Eliot Feld, and Janis Brenner, as well as performing works by Antony Tudor and Twyla Tharp.

This is Jaclyn’s third year on faculty at Hathaway Academy of Ballet; as well as being ballet mistress, rehearsal director, and choreographer for Collin County Ballet Theatre, assistant director of The Project, and director of The Company.  She is also the dance teacher at Blair Elementary in CFBISD, dance teacher/choreographer with Encore Academy, and on faculty at Studio 7 in Addison, TX.

Professionally Jaclyn loved dancing with the Bruce Wood Dance Project in Dallas, TX. She worked with choreographers such as Bruce Wood, Kimi Nikaidoh, Bryan Arias, and Albert Drake.  Additional companies she has danced with in Dallas include Avant Chamber Ballet, Contemporary Ballet Dallas, and Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet.

Currently residing in the Carrollton, her favorite things to do are snuggle with her kids and teach dance!  She is happily married to her husband Andrew, they have two sons: Taylor and Corey and daughter: Blake.
